Zumbathon at the South Brunswick Family YMCA Saturday

On Saturday, March 24, the will be hosting a ZUMBATHON fundraiser.  The proceeds go towards the Annual Support Campaign, which provides financial assistance to ensure everyone has access to Y programs and services.  The event is open to the general public, membership is not required.

There will be non-stop Zumba from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with five fantastic Zumba instructors.  We also have several vendors coming out to support this event with prizes and giveaways. Vendors include Party Lite, Lia Sophia, Silpada Jewelry, Tastefully Simple and more. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

“Now is a great time to come see what the Y offers. We are much more than a gym, we are a family," said Kim Zsamba, Group Exercise Coordinator.  “We have programs available for every member in your family from swimming to soccer, karate to kickboxing, badminton and more!”

"This is the second Zumbathon the Y has hosted,” said Tom Libassi, Executive Director.  “Many of the prior attendees requested that we hold the event again.  It has been lots of fun and the money raised helps our community."

Joe Marciszyn, Senior Program Director, said, “We are updating our fitness center with additional treadmills elliptical machines , both with personal viewing screens, new dumbbells and other great strength training equipment.  It’s a great time to enjoy some Zumba as well as take a tour and see what we’re all about!”

Kim noted, “The monies raised will go towards our Annual Support Campaign. It’s a great way to start your Saturday!  Join the Party!  Zumba!”
