Bon Appetit for the Spirit, South Brunswick Senior Center, 540 Ridge Rd, Monmouth Junction, 10:30 a.m.

The South Brunswick Office on Aging is offering a weekly book club entitled Bon Appétit for the Spirit.

This group utilizes literature as a catalyst to discuss personal issues/thoughts/concerns with each other.  Past books included ‘The Kite Runner’, My Sisters Keeper, The Ice Castle, The Help and many more. This group is always open to new participants.  We meet most Thursdays at 10:30. Open to S. Brunswick seniors 55+. Please call Caryl if you have questions at 732 329 4000 ext. 7212.

South Brunswick Jazz Cafe presents Shikantaza, South Brunswick Senior Center, 540 Ridge Rd, Monmouth Junction, 8 p.m.

Come discover hidden jewels in the Great American Songbook, along with original and esoteric works. Shikantaza features Doug Miller on piano, Bernhard Geiger on acoustic bass, Brandon Lewin on percussion, and special guest Lori Pantaleo, vocals.
