National Night Out on Tuesday highlights the upcoming week in South Brunswick

Monday

, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 6 p.m. The SBPL will be showing a movie that is required viewing for English Honors IV students in South Brunswick. All are welcome, but this viewing is intended to provide students with a way to fulfill their requirements for summer reading school assignments.

, 255 Broadway Rd, South Brunswick, 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. The South Brunswick Police Department will host its 28th annual celebration at Rowland Park, which is located on Broadway Road near Rowland Road. 

With over 3,000 people attending last year’s event, and after finishing in 5th place overall in the nation for towns with 15,000 to 49,999 population, the 2011 event promises to be bigger and better than last years. 

The 2011 event will have rides for the kids, with games and prizes for children and adults alike. Free hot dogs, soda, chips, ice cream, and popcorn will be available. Radio station WMGQ will be broadcasting live from this event. Displays from the township police and fire departments, first aid squads, and more will be present.

 , 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 1:30 p.m. Travel experts from Kuller Class A Travel in Princeton will provide a seminar on Planning a Romantic Getaway as part of the SBPL Summer Reading Program - Novel Destinations.  The program is free of charge and open to all. The theme of the Summer Reading Program is Novel Destinations. Submit an entry form for each book you read to be eligible for weekly prize drawings and for the Grand Prize of a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble to be drawn at the end of the program. 

 , 540 Ridge Rd, Monmouth Junction, 10:30 a.m. Dr. Paul Haser and Dr.Safritz, Vascular Surgeons, will discuss Peripheroral Artery Disease with a question and answer session with the vascular surgeon. 

Thursday

 , 540 Ridge Rd, Monmouth Junction, 12:15 p.m. Learn about the symptoms and treatments of gastrointestinal problems with Kevin S. Skole, MD, board certified in gastroenterology and a member of the Medical Staff of Princeton HealthCare System.
