, , 4355 Us Highway 1, Princeton, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The Education Foundation of South Brunswick is hosting the 2nd Annual “A Taste for EDUCATION” gala fundraiser on at the Doubletree Hotel Princeton, 4355 US Route One at Ridge Road. This event gives restaurants the opportunity to showcase their cuisine and at the same time support the Education Foundation. “A Taste for EDUCATION” will feature food from some of Central New Jersey's best local restaurants, caterers and wineries.  The evening also includes a fabulous silent auction, raffle and lots of fun. The mission of The Education Foundation of South Brunswick Township, Inc., a (501)(c)(3) non-profit corporation, is to promote and provide educational support and opportunities through innovative programs and projects.

, , 750 Ridge Rd, Monmouth Junction, 7 p.m. This is a high school workshop designed to give parents and teens information about the new NJ state anti-bullying law, designed to help parents and students deal with issues and ramifications of bullying and harassment, including cyberbullying. The workshop is being presented in collaboration with the SBHS BRIDGE Center and will include a two-part information session, outlining the details of the law, as well an in-depth look into the social and emotional aspects of bullying, particularly as it relates to older teens, presented by Dr. Isaiah Pickens, PhD. The information session will be followed by interactive, small group activities with the teens to encourage more in-depth discussion and strategizing. There will also be a program for middle school students Thursday at 7 p.m. at Crossroads North Middle School.

, , 540 Ridge Rd, Monmouth Junction, 12:30 p.m. Rita Harris, Business Development Manager for Visiting Nurse Health Group (VNAHG) will present an overview of VNA Health Group services for home health, hospice and community-based care and the important factors you should know when choosing a home care agency. As the largest nonprofit, visiting nurse association in New Jersey, VNAHG provides services to more than 120,000 individuals each year. Services range from personal care to complex specialized nursing, rehabilitative and end-of-life care.

Thursday

, , 540 Ridge Rd, Monmouth Junction, 11 a.m. All handmade items will be accepted for showing. Needlework, ceramics, photography, paintings, all forms of art will be exhibited. Pick up an entry blank at the senior center. This is one day out of the year everyone is invited to bring in a piece of artwork to display. Everyone who enters a piece will be eligible for a door prize.  This event is open to South Brunswick residents 55 and over.

Friday

, , 23 Roberts St, Kendall Park, 9:20 a.m. Greenbrook Elementary School will hold a 50th year celebration on October 28th. Alumni are invited to an assembly program which will be followed by a little get together for the alumni with refreshments being served. Later on in the evening there will be a dance "Dancing Through the Decades." The dance is for alumni and current Greenbrook families. Tickets are $10 per family.
