South Brunswick Township Citizens Raise Concerns About Delivering Local News

Residents at this week's South Brunswick Township Council meeting spoke out about expanding the way information is being provided.

Channel 3, which has always been the prime resource for providing up to date news within the township, was disbanded last year and many are now requesting for its return.

“It was always underutilized and should be more informative with the residents of our township,” Mayor Frank Gambatese states.

The equipment used by the township had been turned over to the South Brunswick High School in hopes that students would film a program that could then air on Channel 3 instead. The program would still focus on providing content that highlighted local news in the township.

The council explained that South Brunswick has cut spending within the budget when it comes to expanding the studio and do not feel that it is a high priority to produce programming.
