South Brunswick Parks and Rec Fall Classes for Youth with Special Needs

Eight-week afterschool program entitled, "Acting for Fun"

Registration will open on Monday, Aug. 22, for a weekly afterschool program in Creative Dramatics for youth with special needs.

The eight-week afterschool program entitled, "Acting for Fun" will begin on Monday Sept. 26.  The project will be led by Jean Prall Rosolino, Founder of Youth Stages LLC, in Princeton.

It will include two 45 minute after-school classes, one for children 7-12 years followed by a second class for youth ages 13-21. Class size is limited to eight participants per class.

This program is open to South Brunswick residents only.

Rosolino, who holds an MA in Educational Theater from NYU, has extensive teaching experience in creative dramatics for both children and adults with or without disabilities.

She has taught for both Mercer County Office for the Disabled and for VSA Arts of NJ for over 20 years. She has also served as a consultant in drama for the VSA Arts Festivals at Middlesex County College. 

Registration is on the Dept. of Parks and Recreation website and will be accepted on a first come, first-serve basis. The deadline for registration is Monday, Sept. 19.

This program has been funded in part by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission, with assistance through a grant provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Dept. of State.
