North Brunswick, N.J.'s Tim Howard: All 16 Saves In A Minute-Long Video

Howard was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome – a neurological disorder – while in the sixth grade. Only Howard refused to let Tourette Syndrome deny him his dream of becoming a star athlete. On Tuesday, he showed what he can do.

Tim Howard, a 1997 North Brunswick High School graduate and national hero, showed how far he's come - and how much he's overcome - when he  made 16 saves in the United States's 2-1 nail-biting, extra-time loss to Belgium on Tuesday.

The video capture Howard's saves — more than any World Cup goalie since 1966 — from that game in one quick minute.

Howard has had to do a lot more than swatting away 60-mph soccer balls, 16 times in a game, to become a star.
