Donate Gas Cards to Help South Brunswick Sandy Victims

Social Services needs help providing gas cards to less fortunate residents without power so they can run generators for heat.

South Brunswick Social Services is in need of emergency gas gift cards for less fortunate residents still out of power for their generators.

Over 30 South Brunswick residents have come in for help during the power outage, many of them from the Monmouth Mobile Home Park.

"This issue will continue for a while due to long gas lines and the need for just having gasoline for their cars," said Social Services Director LouAnne Wolf.

She also praised the donation of blankets, sweatshirts, hoodies and socks to give to those families still with no heat by HighGrade Beverage owner Anthony DeMarco.

Social Services is located in the Municipal Building at 540 Ridge Rd in Monmouth Junction. They're open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Tuesday 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Social Services will also be open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. the next two Fridays to assist Sandy victims.
