Community Invited to Charge Up and Shower at Princeton Plasma Physics Lab

Charge cellphones and other electronic devices and take a hot shower on Friday, Nov. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m.

The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is opening up its doors to people in the community without power due to Hurricane Sandy and offering them a place to charge their cellphones and other electronic devices and take a hot shower on Friday, Nov. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. 

People in the community can warm up in our cafeteria and charge their cellphones, laptops and other electronic devices and sign on to our network to check email.  Coffee and snacks will be available in our vending machines.

We ask that you bring your own towels and toiletries. Hot showers will be available in our men’s and women’s locker rooms.

Take Route 1 to the Scudders Mill Road exit. Follow the ramp and turn left at the first traffic light onto Campus Drive. Follow Campus Drive to the end and turn right. You will then come to the entrance of PPPL. Stay in the left lane and stop at the Security Guard booth to present I.D. and gain clearance.

We ask that when you arrive at PPPL you park in the visitor’s parking lot and come to the Lyman Spitzer Building lobby where PPPL staff will be there to greet you. Adults should bring photo ID to present at our security booth.
