American Legion Post 401 Honors Coloring Contest Winners

Fifth-grader Jane Lai wins local competition and will go on to compete at the state level.

The American Legion Post 401 Coloring Contest for 2012 was won by Jane Lai, a fifth-grader at . Presenting the award to Jane were Irv Demarest, coloring contest chairman, and Post 401 commander Gary Cooper. 

Jane’s picture was also selected best in Middlesex County and has gone on to the state competition. Runners up were: Jenna Mackson, Cambridge School, and Kathryn Tamayo and Allison Li, both from Indian Fields School.

The Safety Essay Contest was won by Soorya Suresh, a seventh-grader at Crossroads North Middle School. Post Commander Cooper also presented this award. Kunal Gupta, an eighth-grader at Crossroads North, was runner-up.
