, 7 p.m. , Woodlot Park, 124 New Road, Monmouth Junction. Originally scheduled to be held at Beech Woods Park, the concert has been moved to the Community Center due to the This Friday's performance features the band "40 Winx," a high energy classic rock band who will be playing music by artists such as Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac and the Beatles.

10 a.m., EARTH Center, 42 Riva Avenue, South Brunswick. Rutgers Cooperative Extension’s Master Gardeners of Middlesex County invite the public for an “Introduction to Bee-Keeping” workshop at the EARTH Center, in Davidson’s Mill Pond Park. Pat Evans, Master Gardener an amateur apiarist will be the seminar’s presenter. It has been stated that with the combined pressures leading up to the recent “Colony Collapse disorder” outbreak, hobbyist beekeepers have made a positive impact on the Honeybee population. Also to be discussed will be garden plants that can serve as pollen sources in late summer when naturally occurring sources are not easy to find in our area. After the class, those who want to participate, will be able to watch as the instructor “tends to and maintains" a real inhabited beehive. Those interested in this should come with light colored clothing, long sleeves, long pants and a hat. Cost of seminar is $20.

, 11 a.m. , 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction. Beat the heat on Saturday in the comfortable air conditioned confines of the SBPL with this family friendly event. Story time is open to all children and their caretakers.

Sunday

, 11 a.m., 4145 Us Hwy No 1, South Brunswick. The Green Ramadan Initiative is a program created by a group of Muslims in central Jersey who were concerned about the amount of waste and environmental damage that is created in their masajid during Ramadan. The ISCJ aims to educate Muslims about the importance of environmental stewardship in Islam and implement ideas and strategies to combat different problems regarding waste. Light refreshments will be served.

, 2 p.m. , 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction. The SBPL continues its six-week International Film Festival this summer, featuring current, critically acclaimed films from the world cinema. Most films are shown in the original language with English sub-titles.
