Saturday

Laboratory of Life: Middle School Science Fun, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 2 p.m.

This Laboratory of Life session focuses on exploring the five senses: taste, touch, smell, hearing, and sight. Through a variety of experiments you will be able to "sense" newfacts about the five senses that you probably didn't know before. Come and see how well you can perform in these experiments.

CPR Marathon, St. Augustine of Canterbury School, 45 Henderson Rd, Kendall Park, 9 a.m.

Come for a free CPR Marathon. Practice CPR/AED protocols; enter to win a free CPR Anytime Kit. Sessions begin at 9 a.m.; noon; and 3 p.m. Email ozzyh@optonline.net or call 732-297-6042 to guarantee your spot in the class. Everyone age 10 and older is encouraged to attend.

Learn all about the sales process from the realtor's riole to the mortgage application to the legal points, to the closing.

South Brunswick Garden Club Gardening Workshop/Seed & Plant Exchange, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 1:15 p.m.

Presenters will be Mary Leck, PhD, speaking on the significance of the Abbott Marshland with a focus on native plants; and Diane Leonard, Chairperson, South Brunswick Shade Tree Commission on how the Shade Tree Commission works for you. Also Joan Luckhardt, PhD, Vice President of the Dayton Village Citizens Coaltion will lead the seed and catalog exchange. There will be door prizes at the end of the program. Also, Art Lee will lead a collaborative art scultpture using recyclables to finish up the agenda. (You may bring a piece of your artwork to display)  You may consider bringing a clean plant container and/or plant or seeds or catalogs to share/and or exchange with others. Please bring a non-perishable food item donation for the South Brunswick Food Pantry.

Open House for the Sand Hills Community Wellness Center, Community Presbyterian Church of Sand Hills, 57 Sand Hills Rd, Kendall Park, 4:30 p.m.

The Community Presbyterian Church of the Sand Hills is starting a Wellness Center whose purpose is to reach out to the community by providing programs and services that “Enhance the Growth of Body, Mind and Spirit.”  They are inviting all interested practitioners, including psychotherapists, coaches, massage therapists, reiki practitioners, yoga instructors, chaplains, etc., to join from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Visitors will have an opportunity to tour the re-purposed space and gather information about moving a portion of their practice there. If you are unable to attend on Feb. 10, but would like information about how your practice can be involved in the community outreach, please email them and they'll send you a packet and arrange for a tour.  Please RSVP to office@communitypres.org, or contact Gabi Quaely (732-331-2159) for more information.
