Central Jersey (geek) Culture Appreciation, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 1:30 p.m.

A group of friendly, open-minded, mostly 20 and 30-somethings whose interests run the gamut from Buffy to Doctor Who, Comic Books to Lord of the Rings, Cranium to Dungeons and Dragons and far more. The group gets together for board games, video games, movies, talking, etc.

Joint Effort Holiday Player Development Basketball Camp for South Brunswick Youth, Princeton Day School, 650 Great Rd, Princeton, 1 p.m.

The camp will run through Dec. 29 and will be run by former Princeton High and South Brunswick All State/Hall of Fame Basketball Player and Joint Effort National Player Development Director, John Bailey. The camp is open to boys and girls, 4th grade-high school.
