A full slate of Easter activities highlight weekend events in and around South Brunswick.

Friday

, Community Presbyterian Church of Sand Hills, 57 Sand Hills Rd, Kendall Park, 6 p.m.

Experience the story of Good Friday.  Come for a time of music, meditation, reflection and prayer as they explore six interactive prayer stations representing moments in the last days of Jesus's life.  Throughout the evening, live music will be provided by friends and members of the Community Presbyterian Church of the Sand Hills.  This service will be held in the Octagon in the education building.

Saturday

Wild Plant Walk @ Marquand Park w/ Dan Farella, 87 Lovers Ln, Princeton, 2 p.m.

An insightful walk around the land to demystify the “wall of green” surrounding us. Attendees learn how to identify many plants revered in the herbal traditions for healing ailments, as well as how to forage for nutritious wild food directly from the land. They will sample the wild plant wonders Nature guides us to, and focus on methods to use and prepare them. Gain the skills and confidence necessary to utilize the countless organic, fresh, local and free plant resources nature continually provides. 

Sunday

Easter Sunrise Worship, First Presbyterian Church of Dayton, Georges Rd, Dayton, 6:30 a.m.

A sunrise service outside on the church's prayer path, located off the rear parking lot area.  Gather and share in prayer, music and scripture as you greet the dawn and celebrate Easter morning. In the event of rain, event will be held in the church's sanctuary.

Easter Worship Service, First Presbyterian Church of Dayton, Georges Rd, Dayton, 10 a.m.

All are welcome to join in the celebration of Easter at the Dayton Church. The service will offer special activities for children, communion, and wonderful music including piano, organ, choir and brass.

, Community Presbyterian Church of Sand Hills, 57 Sand Hills Rd, Kendall Park, 9:30 a.m.

The church choir and drama team will present the conclusion of the cantata "Upon this Rock" by composer Pepper Choplin.  Come out as they reflect, worship, and celebrate as darkness turns to joy on Easter Sunday. After the service, all are invited for a brunch hosted by the church's men's group. Brunch will be followed by the annual Easter Egg Hunt for children of preschool-age to Grade 6. For those with children who wish to participate in the egg hunt, they ask that you RSVP by email to the church office (office@communitypres.org) at your earliest convenience so that they may plan accordingly for the event.  All are welcome at Community Presbyterian.
