Bears and Cricket? and Quote of the Day

Bear, Township Sports, Cricket, Quote of the Day

Hello, Assalamou Alykoum, Namaskar, Namaste, Sat Sri Akal, Hola, wasup! (Readers give me more ways to say hello and I'll start including it with every blog post).

So in the past couple hours someone mentioned to me that a bear has been spotted in the Monmouth Junction area.  Interesting I thought, let me go on SB Patch website to see if this is true, sure enough I find the story.

I remember a few years ago, very recently after moving to the area news coverage of a bear being spotted near the McDonalds off Sand Hill Road. I don't think they ever found that bear.  So like the article says, be careful, don't feed the bear, call the police right away if you spot the bear.  Secure and dispose of all trash properly!  I bet any Morris County readers would be saying big deal, we deal with bears all the time.

In the title this post, why did I mention "cricket?"  Not the insect but rather the sport of cricket. A few weeks ago the World Cup was going on, and let me tell you, people from the Indian Sub-Continent were going bonkers, the same way we go bonkers over the Super Bowl, it has the same frenzy.  Now myself, I'm not a big cricket fan, I grew up playing baseball, basketball and football. Sorry for digressing, back to cricket, many people in town are obsessed with cricket.  I know formal leagues exist in the area and many informal teams play around town.  I know the Township a few years ago even had some cricket fields made to accomodate the demand from the township residents.

I came across a story that a New Jersey junior cricket league has been formed.

Pretty cool, maybe the organizers can come play some games in our cricket fields in South Brunswick?

I'll end this post with a Quote of the Day, maybe i'll make it regular part of my posts.
