South Brunswick Recognizes Autism Awareness Month

On Wednesday, from 10:15-11 a.m., an assembly will be held at Brunswick Acres Elementary School.

Tuesday begins Autism Awareness month, and Wednesday April 2 is known as World Autism Awareness Day.

On this day, parents, family members, teachers, friends, and even strangers come together to raise awareness for individuals who have autism. This is a day to celebrate their strengths and capabilities. This is a day that we shine a light on all of the things that these individuals can do.

Here's how it is being recognized in South Brunswick:

- La Taverna in Dayton is hosting the first annual Autism Awareness Event! Please come wearing blue to  and they will donate 10% of your check to Autism Speaks! This is a great way to show support and raise awareness within your community!!!

- On Wednesday, from 10:15-11 a.m., an assembly will be held at Brunswick Acres Elementary School.
