Today: Frankenstein Friday, Weekend Traffic

What's going on in South Brunswick as we begin Labor Day weekend.

Labor Day weekend is finally here and hopefully the weather will cooperate so no barbecues get rained out.

Today also brings one of the more odd "holidays," with Frankenstein Friday in honor of the birth of Mary Shelley. So let's take a look at what's up in South Brunswick today.

1. Today's forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of 81 degrees and a 10 percent chance of rain.

2. Happy Frankenstein Friday I guess? Today honors author Mary Shelley, who was born on August 30 ,1797 and wrote the book "Frankenstein" in 1818. This is one of three holidays honoring a fictional monster, as there is also National Frankenstein Day and Frankenstein Day, which both occur in October. Because one is clearly not enough. Celebrate by, uh, pointing out how bad fire is? That's all I got.
