Sunny Skies, Eat Some Pasta Friday

Goings on in South Brunswick as we head into the weekend.

The weekend is finally here and it's bringing some sunshine with it.

Pasta lovers should rejoice today with the arrival of World Pasta Day on Oct. 25. Pasta Day was established at the first World Pasta Congress held on this date in 1995 in Rome, Italy, according to Holiday Insights.

Here's what else is going on in town today.

1. Today's forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high of 54 degrees. The temperature will drop to the low-30's overnight.

2. World Pasta Day seeks to spread awareness for the benefits of pasta, which are evident to anyone not cutting carbs. But for everyone else or for those having a carb cheat day, visit the Patch Business Directory to find the best Italian restaurants in town.

3. Are you a commuter? Check out Patch's traffic report. Visit whenever you're heading out on the road for live traffic updates any time of the day.
