Maple Syrup Day, Traffic and Weather Tuesday in South Brunswick

What's up in South Brunswick today.

Since it's only been two days since it last snowed, we're due for another blast this morning.

But if you're tired of all this sour weather, then enjoy the sweet side of life as today is National Maple Syrup Day. Here's what else is going on around town today.

1. Today's forecast calls for snow during the morning commute before tapering off into scattered snow showers during the afternoon with a high of 34 degrees. One to three inches of snow is expected. Overnight the temperature will drop to the low 20's.

2. Native Americans were the first known people to harvest and boil the sap of the maple tree into a thick syrup, according to Holiday Insights. So to celebrate this day, add maple syrup to your pancakes or waffles, or try warm maple syrup on vanilla ice cream in the evening.
