Hanukkah in South Brunswick, Traffic and Weather

What's up Tuesday in South Brunswick.

Heavy rain and wind will batter the area as we head into the holiday season.

Weather permitting, Chabad of South Brunswick will celebrate the opening night of Hanukkah tonight. Here's what else you need to know on Thanksgiving eve.

1. Today's forecast calls for high winds of up to 30 mph with heavy rain early in the day, tapering to showers in the afternoon with a high of 56. Rainfall may reach one inch. Overnight the temperature will drop to the mid-20's.

2. The Chabad Jewish Center of South Brunswick will celebrate Chanukah with the lighting of a giant 18-foot Menorah on Nov. 27 at 4:30 p.m. The Chanukah Party will include hot latkes, doughnuts, dreidels, chocolate gelt, Chanukah activities, and live music by the Baker Brothers in front of the Chabad Jewish Center, at 1 Riva Avenue.
