The South Brunswick Family YMCA annual golf outing will be at Cranbury Golf Course on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 9:00AM – 1:00PM.  The outing includes a continental breakfast and lunch.

“The community’s support of this event is essential to meeting our goal of raising $25,000 for our scholarship fund,” explained Tom Libassi, Executive Director.  “We have been overwhelmed by the number of request for financial assistance.  Our goal is to never turn away someone from Y programs or services due to inability to pay.”

Here are two stories or financial aid recipients:

“I have a son with special needs and a daughter who use the Y programs. I have worked out a regular family routine to take advantage of the Fitness Center and pool.  I am thankful for all the Y has done for my family during our time of need.”

“The Y provided a 95% scholarship for my two children for the After School Program.  I’m a single mom and we just moved to NJ.  I needed a safe place for my children to stay.  The Y was able to meet my needs and my kids enjoyed the Y staff and facilities.  Thank you!”

Libassi noted, “With your help, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of others.  We appreciate your support”
