Three North Brunswick residents were charged for a series of convenience store robberies carried out with paintball guns in several central New Jersey towns. The suspects were charged with robbing the Quick Chek on Route 27 in South Brunswick, a Hess Gas Station on Route 18 in East Brunswick, and separate robberies in North Brunswick and Milltown.

Jeremy Barge, 27, Tyree Romero, 21, and Crystal Davis, 18, were charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, and conspiracy to commit a robbery for the hold-up of a Welsh Farms store in North Brunswick last week, according to police.

Davis was also charged with the robbery of a taxi cab driver, who she stabbed during the incident, said South Brunswick Police spokesman Sgt. Jim Ryan.

On March 25, three suspects robbed the South Brunswick Quick Chek at 2:25 a.m. armed with handguns, which Sgt. Ryan said were later determined to be paintball guns. The suspects made off with $389 in cash, according to police.

On April 25, at 12:34 a.m. three suspects, two men and one woman, entered the East Brunswick Hess Station wearing black hooded sweatshirts and ski masks. Police said that one of the men had a knife and all three appeared to be armed with what an employee thought were paintball guns, according to police. While one of the suspects held the employee at bay with the knife, the other two suspects took an undetermined amount of cash from the register.

The suspects also stole several packs of cigarettes, according to police.

All of the robberies in the four towns occurred last Tuesday or early Wednesday last week, Ryan said.

The three suspects are being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick in lieu of $50,000 bail.
