State Forest Fire Service Conducting Live Burn Near Dayton

Several people have called police headquarters to report smoke in Dayton.

The New Jersey State Forest Fire Service will be conducting a live burn near Route 535 today and Friday. The controlled burn is scheduled to take place until about 7 p.m. at the border of South Brunswick and Monroe Township. 

South Brunswick Police have have received several calls reporting smoke in the Dayton section of the township, but residents shouldn't be alarmed. Forest Fire personnel are on the scene and monitoring the live burn.
