Project Graduation Committee Presents “SBHS Project Runway”
SBHS Project Runway will feature the latest prom fashions.
On Friday, Feb. 24, the South Brunswick High School Project Graduation Committee will sponsor a Prom Preview Fashion Show entitled, “SBHS Project Runway” at the South Brunswick High School Auditorium.
SBHS Project Runway will feature the latest prom fashions from the Bridal Center Boutique on Route 18 in East Brunswick and Chaz MaTazz men’s formal wear shop in Princeton Marketfair.
Students in the Junior and Senior class at SBHS will be models for the event, which will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (doors will open at 6:30 p.m.). In addition to the fashion show, vendors will be available to provide valuable information and incentives for many prom night services: jewelry, hair/nails, florists, tanning, spas, limousine service and more.
Admission to SBHS Project Runway is $8 in advance and $10 at the door and can be purchased by emailing sbhsprojectgraduation@gmail.com. Tickets will also be sold during all lunches at SBHS the week of Feb. 21, to Feb. 24.
Ticket holders will receive admission to the fashion show as well as valuable coupons including discounts on the fashions and accessories highlighted during the show. Gift raffles held during the show will also allow attendees to win prizes for hair, tanning, jewelry and more, including a chance to win a ticket to the Junior and Senior prom.
Project Graduation has been embraced by the residents of South Brunswick since 1992 and since that time, each graduating class has been provided with an opportunity to celebrate their graduation night with their peers in a safe, supervised, tobacco, substance and alcohol-free atmosphere. This year’s event will be held at the Funplex, an indoor-outdoor recreational facility in Mt. Laurel, NJ.
The event is organized and funded through the efforts of parents and local community organizations such as the South Brunswick Municipal Alliance and is offered free-of-charge to every graduating senior (Class of 2012 has a total of 750 students).
